INVOLVEMENT WITH LIPOSOMA
Linda Gijsbers joined LIPOSOMA in 2023 as Senior Scientist. As a member of the team, she is responsible for engaging exploratory research to identify potential scientific concepts for future products. She also contributes to the enrolment of projects, including the design and implementation of experiments and other R&D initiatives in support of ongoing projects and grant applications. She is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with both academic and industrial research groups.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER
She has 22 years of experience in (bio)pharmaceutical research organisations, including several start-ups and SMEs. As a project manager at Lead Pharma she was involved in the evaluation of new biological targets to assess the potentials and risks for new proprietary compound development. At Janssen Infectious Diseases & Vaccines she has worked on several biological therapeutics and viral platforms and developed assays to assure safety of the biologicals. More recently she has been active in the academic world where she worked on her PhD study focussed on DNA modifications and RNA expression in B-cell lymphoma.
